Imagine: it's St. Patrick's Day, and you're home drinking… a boring ole PBR? No way! This holiday is all about the alcohol, don't let it pass without jazzing up what you're imbibing. Lucky you, we've got everything from green beer to boozy milkshakes. Check out our list of 20+ St. Patrick's Day drinks to get inspired.

If you want to make it a whole day affair, you can start your morning off right with an Irish coffee or a green bloody mary (no green dye here, just tomatillos!). From there, you've got tons of options, both heavier and cream-based and light and fruity. We've stuck with some classic St. Patrick's Day alcohols and flavors, like Bailey's Irish Cream and mint. Mint is often used because creme de menthe turns drinks that classic green color, but we love using fresh mint too. While some people may only imbibe mint-infused cocktails to cool off in the summertime, we say enjoy them early! What better time to bust out the juleps and mojitos than St. Patrick's Day? Really, any light and fruity drink can be perfect for this holiday— just use lots of fruit and turn it into a rainbow, like in our layered fruit sangria. And you can't forget shots! From cereal to pickles, we're busting out all our creativity for shooters that'll have you feeling extra lucky. Feeling overwhelmed? No judgment, just drop some green food coloring in your favorite beer (or grab a Guinness!) and call it a day.

Nutty Irishman

The "nutty" in the Nutty Irishman refers to hazelnut liqueur— we like topping ours with extra crushed hazelnuts to get even nuttier!

Appletini

Apple schnapps brings sweet-tart green apple flavor, while a splash of calvados (apple brandy) gives it a fiery kick. They may look light and fruity, but these babies are STRONG.

Ginger Lime Whiskey Sour

We added ginger for a spicy kick, and replaced lemon juice with lime for a citrus upgrade that makes this cocktail stand out. The egg white is completely optional, but it's traditional and adds a nice frothiness.

Mint Julep

This minty cocktail is perfect for when you want something lighter this St. Patrick's Day. It's only 3 ingredients (bourbon, simple syrup, and mint!) and the prep couldn't be simpler.

Drunk Grasshoppers

Named after their greenish hue (due to the creme de menthe), grasshoppers are sweet, rich, and perfectly minty. We jazzed ours up with some whipped topping and chocolate shavings — it's practically dessert.

Layering fruit into your glasses makes for the best presentation, but don't worry— you can chuck it all into a pitcher and still call it a rainbow!
